THE HUNT OF GOLLUM 2 – First Trailer (201)
The Hunt for Gollum 2 (201) begins with a haunting, atmospheric take on Middle Earth, shrouded in fog. The trailer begins with Gandalf’s (Ian McKellen) voice-over, warning of a new darkness sweeping the lands beyond Mordor.
“The creature is more dangerous than ever… We have to find her,” he says ominously, referring to Gollum, who has been missing since the events of the first film. The camera moves towards Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), now older and more battle-worn, taking on the task of locating Gollum once again. The trailer shows an epic journey through uncharted regions of Middle Earth as Aragorn, along with Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), set out to capture the elusive creature before it falls into the wrong hands.
There’s a lot at stake, with rumors of a new threat: a dark force seeking to harness Gollum’s knowledge of the One Ring for sinister purposes. Teaser builds on tension when we catch Gollum (Andy Serkis) running through dense forests, his obsession with the Ring driving him crazier than ever. The dual personalities of Gollum, Smeagol and Gollum, are more conflicted in this movie, divided between escaping and returning with their beloved. The trailer shows glimpses of intense chase scenes, as Aragorn and his team traversing perilous landscapes, from towering mountains to deep caves, relentlessly chasing the creature.
Suddenly, the tone changes when the trailer introduces a mysterious new villain: a Wizard of the East, played by Richard Armitage, who searches Gollum for his own dark agenda. A culminating battle looms as Aragorn and his allies face this new foe, with the future of Middle Earth once again on the line.
